In advertising have a common advertising techiques used. First is Information,an obvious reason for advertising is simply informing people of the existence of products they might be interested in buying, Second is Status, associates product use with those who have status, who are sucessful, and who enjoy understand the "fine things in life".Third is Peer Approval, is a techique used to make the audience feel that in order to be cool and accepted by your peers, you must buy the product. Fourth is Physical attraction to others,associates use of product with increased physical attraction/appeal. Five is Hero endorsement, a form of brand or advertising campaign that involves a well known person using their fame to help promote a product or service.Six is the Entertainment,associates product with entertainment and feelings of enjoyment. Seven is Intelligent,a technique that implies that a smart person would buy the advertised product.Next is Independence,a technique where the company intentionally targets their product a people who believe that they can think for themselves. And the last is Unfinished Camparison,promotional technique in which an advertiser claims the superiority of it's product over competing product's by direct or inderict comparison.
And there are also some techniques used by sales, first is Guarantees, abundant use of statements such as lifetime guarantee and satisfaction guaranteed, or money back. Second is Scarcity, scarcity appeals rely on the consumer's desire for the product or service and connect to underlying fears of not getting what they need. Third is Perceptual Contrast, if we see two things in sequence that are different from one another, we will tend to see the second one as more different from the first it actually is. And four is a Negative Option, a category of commercial transactions in which sellers interpret a customer's failure to take an affirmative action either to reject an offer or cancel an agreement, as assent to be charged for goods or services. The last is Scientific or Numercial Claims, this kind of ad uses some sort of scientific proof or experiment, very specific numbers, or an impressive sounding mystrey ingredient.
